Guarda is a beautiful town where you can spend an afternoon walking around the medieval city and old town. There are plenty of coffee shops and a vegan option to eat, Guido’s Point (closed Minday). The coffee shop in the bus station does a lovely coffee and pastel de nata.
Buses from all over Europe arrive here, including Flix Bus.
The local Sabugal bus company Viuva Monteiro run a bus service from Guarda to Sabugal. You can buy a ticket either on the bus or from the booth upstairs at the bus station.
